La caméra PTZ Canon CR-N400 White s'adresse aux régies multi-caméras, studios virtuels et plateaux corporate qui ne transigent ni sur la définition ni sur la stabilité du signal. Son capteur CMOS 1/2,3 pouce associé au processeur DIGIC DV7 capture du 4K UHD jusqu'à 59,94p en 4:2:2 10 bits, avec un éventail de gammas comprenant Canon Log 3, BT.709 Wide DR, HLG et PQ pour s'aligner aussi bien sur une production HDR en direct qu'un montage en post-production.

L'optique 20x f/1,8–2,8 (3,67–73,4 mm) couvre du grand-angle au télé serré et grimpe jusqu'à 40x en Full HD pour ramener au premier plan les visages d'invités d'un colloque, d'une conférence d'entreprise ou d'un plateau e-sport sans relocaliser la machine. Le diaphragme à huit lamelles produit un bokeh régulier, tandis que le filtre ND motorisé (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) et la plage de gain 0–36 dB laissent une marge de manœuvre confortable face aux mélanges d'éclairage LED, tungstène et lumière naturelle qui caractérisent les tournages événementiels.

Côté connectique, la CR-N400 White rassemble 12G-SDI, HDMI type A, USB-C 3.0 et un port LAN 1000Base-T compatible PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) : un seul câble Cat-6 transporte alors l'alimentation, le contrôle IP, le tally et le flux NDI|HX2. Le boîtier prend également en charge SRT, RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP/RTP ainsi que le protocole Canon XC, et ses sorties BNC Genlock et Time Code restent indispensables pour caler plusieurs angles sur un même mélangeur sans saut d'image.

L'application Auto Tracking RA-AT001 (Lite) assure le suivi du visage et de la tête avec un pan/tilt fluide, précieux pour les directs sans cadreur dédié. Le Hybrid AF mêle détection de phase et de contraste pour verrouiller le sujet rapidement, 100 presets se rappellent simultanément en pan, tilt et zoom, et le bruit de fonctionnement reste sous NC35 — un atout dans les studios d'information silencieux et les régies fixes. RS-422 sur RJ45, double entrée XLR, point d'accès Wi-Fi intégré et application Camera Colour Matching font le reste pour intégrer cette tête PTZ dans un parc mixte Canon, BirdDog ou Sony en quelques minutes.
