Built around a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC DV7 image processor, the Canon CR-N400 White PTZ Camera brings UHD 4K capture at 59.94p and 50p to studios, OB trucks and corporate event rigs that demand broadcast-grade colour and dynamic range. Its 20x optical zoom lens (f/1.8–2.8, 3.67–73.4 mm) reaches a 35 mm-equivalent focal length around 616 mm at the tele end, while the 40x extended-reach mode in Full HD pushes coverage further still — useful for shooting close-up reactions in arenas, conference halls or theatre stages without parking the camera in the front row.

Live producers gain a full set of professional interfaces. 12G-SDI output carries 2160p down a single coax run, while HDMI Type A, USB Type-C 3.0 and a 1000Base-T LAN port keep the camera at home in IP environments using NDI|HX2, SRT, RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP/RTP and Canon's XC protocol. Genlock and timecode over BNC make multi-camera synchronisation straightforward in live switched productions, and PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) delivers up to 34.4 W of camera power along the same Cat-6 cable — a relief for installers running tight infrastructure budgets in fixed studios and esports venues.
