The MSS1611-S auto-detects SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI signals up to 1080p60, complying with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 372M, 424M, and 425M standards. Each output benefits from integrated up/down scaling, so a 720p camera feed can be scaled to 1080p for a particular monitor while the original resolution is preserved elsewhere. YUV 4:2:2 processing at 10-bit or 12-bit depth maintains color accuracy throughout the signal chain — a critical requirement for colour grading suites and master control operations.

Three independent control methods ensure easy integration into existing infrastructure. On the front panel, a 2.2-inch LCD screen paired with dedicated buttons and a rotary knob provides rapid manual routing. For centralized operation, a free PC control application connects over Ethernet (RJ-45), while an RS-422 serial port allows direct interfacing with automation and room management systems such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron. This means the switcher fits just as well in a permanent installation at a television studio as it does in a touring rack for corporate events and conference productions.

Dual redundant power inputs (DC 12–24 V) protect against unexpected outages during live broadcasts — if one supply fails, the second takes over without interrupting the signal path. Drawing only 14 W, the MSS1611-S stays cool in tightly packed racks.
