Four HDMI sources, one compact metal chassis, and a full broadcast-grade feature set — the AVMATRIX Shark H4 consolidates multi-camera switching, live streaming, and recording into a single portable unit that fits on a production desk or inside a flight case. Each of its four HDMI Type-A inputs auto-detects the incoming signal format, accepting everything from 480i up to 1080p at 60 fps, so cameras, playback laptops, and graphics workstations connect without manual format adjustments.

On the output side, two HDMI program outputs feed projection screens or recording decks simultaneously, while a dedicated HDMI multiview output displays all sources, preview, and program on a single monitor with two selectable layout styles. A USB Type-C port delivers a capture feed up to 1080p60 directly to a computer running OBS, vMix, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams, turning the Shark H4 into a high-quality webcam source for hybrid events and remote production. For direct-to-platform delivery, the RJ45 Ethernet port pushes an encoded stream via RTMP, RTMPS, or SRT at bitrates from 2 to 32 Mbps in CBR or VBR mode — no external encoder required. Local recording to SD card or USB disk runs in parallel, saving MP4 or TS files with configurable segment durations from 1 to 120 minutes, simplifying archive management after a church service, conference, or corporate town hall.

The switching engine offers T-Bar, auto, and cut transitions alongside 33 wipe patterns, mix, and DIP dissolves. An upstream keyer handles both luma key and chroma key compositing, plus two resizable PIP windows and a POP layout — useful for green-screen interviews or picture-in-picture commentary during esports broadcasts. A separate downstream keyer layers a DSK overlay and a logo (PNG, BMP, or JPG, up to 600 x 600 pixels) on top of the program output. The built-in audio mixer blends four HDMI-embedded channels with two external 3.5 mm stereo microphone or line-level inputs, and an adjustable delay of 0 to 500 ms helps synchronise lip-sync across sources. A DB-15 tally port with GPIO drives external tally lights so camera operators always know which feed is live. Running on 7 to 24 V DC with an operating range of −20 to 60 degrees Celsius, the AVMATRIX Shark H4 handles studio sessions and outdoor stages with equal confidence.
