DZOFilm Catta Ace Zoom 35–80mm T2.9 is a full-frame/Vista Vision cine zoom for crews who need consistent optics across narrative, TV and live workflows. The lens covers an image circle 46.5 mm, holds a constant T2.9 through the range and keeps focus locked thanks to a parfocal optical path with low shift. Color rendering remains neutral for accurate skin tones and intercutting with other Catta Ace focal lengths.

Mechanically, the Catta Ace offers precise control with a 270° focus throw, 100° zoom rotation and 75° iris. Gears are standard 0.8 Mod for follow-focus, FIZ and remote control. Breathing is restrained, making rack pulls clean on large sensors. Inside is a 20-element/15-group design and a 16-blade iris that maintains round highlights from T2.9 to T22.

The optical system maintains sharpness from 0.74 m minimum focus to infinity with a 2.3× zoom ratio. Coverage is VV/FF, supporting popular cinema bodies without vignetting. The lens ships in PL with a user-swappable EF mount and shims; LPL is available separately. Correct flange distance is ensured for both mounts: 52 mm for PL and 44 mm for EF.
