edelkrone Vertical Module v2 turns SliderPLUS v6 into a vertical-motion platform for moves that travel from floor level to subject height with the same controlled feel as a horizontal slide. Instead of counterweights, edelkrone uses a patented constant-tension spring architecture: five tension wires counterbalance the carriage so steep angles stay smooth and quiet for film sets, broadcast studios and live-stream rigs.

In a fully vertical configuration the module lifts a total camera setup of 5.2 kg. That rating accounts for a HeadPLUS v3 at 2.6 kg plus an additional 2.6 kg for camera body, lens, batteries and HeadPLUS accessories. Incline is indexed in 10° steps, with the spring box operating up to 110°, enabling true up/down travel, steep diagonals and repeatable reveal moves while preserving SliderPLUS v6’s double-distance slide behavior. Each tension wire is rated at 2.4–3.0 kg (depending on applied tension), so balancing can be tuned to the payload.

Mounting stays within standard on-set hardware: the spring box sits between tripod and slider via 3/8" interfaces, while the supplied L-Bracket provides a rigid camera platform with a 1/4" mounting point. v2 introduces reinforced rosette joints to prevent loosening or play over long shooting days, larger tightening knobs for quick angle changes, a larger L-Bracket to maintain HeadPLUS clearance at aggressive tilts, and faster switching thanks to spring-loaded mounting slots on SliderPLUS v6.

Vertical Module v2 fits workflows that depend on repeatability: time-lapse and stop-motion at non-horizontal angles, vertical product cinematography for e-commerce, food and beauty tabletop work, architectural detail moves, and silent motion during live shows. Pair it with Slide Module v2/v3 for motorized vertical slides, and power the system through Power Module with a stationary external battery to keep onboard batteries off the moving carriage and reserve lifting capacity for the camera package.

The edelkrone Power Module (sold separately) is highly recommended for vertical setups. It allows you to remove the batteries mounted on HeadPLUS or SliderPLUS—batteries that would otherwise consume part of the system’s lifting capacity.

Instead, you can power the entire system with a single external battery placed in a fixed position, not moving with the slider. This frees up valuable carrying capacity for your camera, lens, and HeadPLUS add-ons, enabling you to mount heavier gear and get the most out of your setup’s vertical motion range.
