Libec TH-Z Video Tripod

Libec TH-Z is a 75 mm bowl tripod system pairing the TH-Z H fluid head with two-stage aluminium legs for professional camera packages up to 5 kg. The head uses FIX counterbalance and FIX fluid drag for repeatable resistance, while 360° pan and a +90°/-80° tilt window cover seated interviews, podium coverage, and fast follow moves during news or event acquisition.

Camera mounting uses a one-touch side-load attach/release mechanism: the plate drops in from the side and locks immediately, cutting reset time during lens swaps, battery changes or moving between positions in a live show. The sliding plate provides ±30 mm fore-aft travel and stays compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler style plates—useful for rental inventories and mixed-support workflows. The 1/4"-20 camera screw with video pin resists rotation when starting pans, keeping cages and small cine bodies aligned.

The head’s dual-base construction supports both a 75 mm half-ball and a flat base with 3/8"-16 female thread, so the same head can run on tripods, sliders, skater dollies or low platforms without adapters. An LED-illuminated bubble level speeds levelling in dark studios or backstage, and dedicated pan/tilt locks plus a rigid, non-telescopic pan handle keep the rig secure during repositioning.

With an operating range of -20°C to +60°C, TH-Z suits outdoor documentary work, winter run-and-gun, and hot venues where supports see constant handling. The legs include a telescopic mid-level spreader (fixed to the tripod for rapid setup) and a positive leg fixing lock knob for repeatability between takes. Typical deployments include multicam streaming, product demos, corporate interviews, and compact cine rigs kept inside the 5 kg payload. When a shoot alternates between tripod coverage and a short slider move, the flat-base option keeps the head behaviour consistent. The kit ships with the RC-10 carrying case for protected transport between locations.
