OWC Jupiter Kore 64 TB brings datacenter-grade dependability to creative studios needing lightning-fast rack-mount storage. The 2U chassis packs eight 8 TB enterprise SATA III drives on a 12 Gb/s Mini-SAS HD backplane, sustaining 1.6 GB/s per enclosure—or up to 96 Gb/s with dual-link RAID.

Dual SFF-8644 ports let you chain up to seven units, building a massive 2.5 PB pool for multi-stream 4K/8K editing, VFX, broadcast playout and large-scale archiving. Designed for zero downtime, Kore offers hot-swap drives and fans plus 1+1 × 380 W redundant, load-balancing PSUs.

JBOD by default, it cooperates with hardware or software RAID 0,1,5,6,10 and Z1–Z3/ZFS to balance speed, capacity and protection. A 10 GbE RJ-45 port speeds ingest to NAS nodes like Jupiter Callisto, while direct Mini-SAS turns macOS, Windows or Linux workstations into high-speed SAN clients. Tool-less slide rails and a 48 × 9.4 × 73.7 cm frame simplify rack integration. Operating range is 0–40 °C; weight 13.6 kg.

Supports SAS-3 and SATA drives and includes a three-year warranty. Serving as DAS or fast NAS expansion, Jupiter Kore removes lags, powers smooth multi-user DaVinci Resolve 4K sessions, and protects media with secure pro-grade reliability.

OWC Jupiter Kore
Expand your workflow with the performance, capacity, reliability, and value of OWC Jupiter Kore enterprise-class storage. The Kore is equipped with a high performance 12Gb Mini-SAS expander allowing further expansion beyond a single Kore unit. This allows for the addition of up to 6 more Kore systems to a single server system for a total of 7 Kore units.

The Kore may be directly connected to a 12Gb Mini-SAS system, or used to expand an existing RAID server system including the OWC Jupiter Callisto NAS storage server.

OWC Jupiter Kore provides a vast amount of direct-attached or expansion storage capacity with up to 160TB of storage in a 2U 8-drive rack system and up to 320TB of storage in a 3U 16-drive rack system. As your storage needs increase, attach additional Kore systems via Mini-SAS for even greater capacity up to 2.5PB on 3U systems.
