The Promise Pegasus32 R8 80TB RAID Array offers substantial storage capacity combined with flexible connectivity for demanding professional environments. Featuring eight 10TB 3.5" SATA hard drives, it provides a total of 80TB storage. The device supports both Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) interfaces, enabling data transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s via Thunderbolt 3 and up to 10 Gb/s through USB-C. A hardware RAID controller allows for various RAID configurations, including levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD catering to different needs for data redundancy and performance. Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports facilitate daisy-chaining of up to five additional devices, enhancing connectivity options. The unit includes a cooling fan to maintain optimal operating temperatures and is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 2 devices using an appropriate adapter.
