A hardware RAID controller allows for various RAID configurations, including levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD catering to different needs for data redundancy and performance. Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports facilitate daisy-chaining of up to five additional devices, enhancing connectivity options. The unit includes a cooling fan to maintain optimal operating temperatures and is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 2 devices using an appropriate adapter.
