Saramonic WiTalk9 WT4S is a 4-user full-duplex wireless intercom headset system in the 1.9 GHz DECT band for film crews, live streaming teams and broadcast studios. It uses a hub-free architecture with single-ear headsets, so every operator stays connected and hands-free within a line-of-sight range up to 500 m. The WT4S configuration with one master and three remote units fits typical roles such as director, vision mixer, camera operator and stage manager, while remaining part of the scalable WiTalk9 ecosystem.
Speech clarity is anchored by the ClearTalk three-microphone array with 360° environmental noise control and a dedicated DSP algorithm that reduces ambient noise while keeping voice tone natural. The DECT digital link with encryption, adaptive frequency hopping and dual antennas maintains a robust channel even in congested RF environments around mobile control rooms or LED stages. A 150 Hz–8 kHz speech-optimised bandwidth, 16 kHz / 16-bit processing and low latency, together with an electret boom microphone and wind-noise reduction, keep cues intelligible for shading, focus-pulling or stage management.
For long shooting days the system includes eight 1450 mAh rechargeable batteries and a 10-bay charger, delivering up to 9–10 hours runtime for the master headset and around 15 hours for each remote unit. Batteries swap in seconds and can also be charged via USB-C, while headsets may operate while charging, a key advantage for continuous live productions. IPX5 weather resistance, foam windscreens and aviation-grade cooling-gel ear cushions keep the system operational on outdoor sports coverage, studio exteriors or ENG teams in rain and wind.
Workflow control is handled from the master headset or the Saramonic app, which offers status monitoring and quick actions such as muting users, initiating broadcast calls or PTT communication. Pulling up the microphone boom instantly mutes the channel, useful for private talkback with local crew.
