The Composite C300 Camera Support Bundle from SHAPE is designed for use with the Canon C300, but it’s also ideal for DSLRs and video cameras. It features no-tool assembly, and very fast transition from shoulder-mounted to the tripod, and back. The camera is centered in front of your eyes, facilitating the use of the camera’s viewfinder while shooting. The included Paparazzi Riser makes it possible to offset your camera to the left or the right, and the Telescopic Support Arm and Rod Bloc deliver improved stability and maneuverability. Friction & Gear Follow-Focus with Adjustable Marker Standard is also included. 15 mm rods can be used for mounting mics, lights, and other accessories. The high-quality aluminum parts are hard anodized to provide a durable rig. The Composite C300 is a nimble, highly capable support rig that will always help you get the shot you need.
Baseplate, rod system and offset bracket
The SHAPE C300 Baseplate is made specifically for the Canon EOS C300 Camera. This camera accessory provides a small, light setup solution expandable to a more elaborate setup. The baseplate attaches underneath the camera with 4 x M4 screws or with 3/8”-16 and 1/4”-20 screws that are included. The baseplate maintains the proper lens center to the rod height for use with available rod mounted accessories. This allows you to use available standard follow focus units, zoom motors, and matte boxes with your camera while using the baseplate. The offset bracket shifts the weight of the camera to your shoulder and provides rod brackets for attaching rods and the shoulder pad, as well as available accessories.
Paparazzi Handle
The SHAPE Paparazzi handle features a total of 20 screw-holes for attaching accessories. The Handle is totally solid — not at all hollow — and are both water cut / laser cut, as opposed to being molded. The 20 screw-holes are a mix of 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ sizes and all run completely through from end to end. They are positioned vertically or horizontally along the Handle. The 1/4″ and 3/8″ holes can take on most any 1/4″ and 3/8″ accessories like lights, monitors, mics, grips, remote controls, recorders, articulating arms, wireless audio receivers, camera plates, and more. And into the 1/2″ holes you can screw in male-threaded SHAPE rods (2ROD15MF4, 2ROD15MF6) . The diverse set of screw-holes lets you get very creative in dressing up your rig. And the ability to screw in rods lets you just as creatively extend your rig.
Quick handle rod bloc (HAND5)
The SHAPE Quick handle rod bloc is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handle grips, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple Push-Button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal. Combined with the anodized aluminum rod bloc, the quick handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Bloc. The rod bloc is designed with 2 screw-threaded holes allowing the mounting of the Quick Handle. SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button handle, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developped to give filmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the handle in the best position for your use. Push, adjust, release, and then its lock.
15 mm rod bloc (RODSUP1)
The SHAPE Rod Block attaches components to standard 15 mm camera support rods. Components, such as a camera plate or SHAPE's Quick Handle, attach via the Rod Block's two screw-threaded holes. Once the Rod Block is in the proper position along the rods, simply tighten its small red knob to secure it in place. The Rod Block is composed of lightweight anodized aluminum.
Composite adjustable shoulder pad (SHPAD2)
The SHAPE adjustable shoulder pad is padded for superior comfort and is made of slip-free material. The screw knob allows to attach SHAPE counter-weight (PAD1, PADCW1). By adding extra male-female rods at the back, you can also attach a counter-weight behind the same rods. This way, your body can easily supports the weight of the camera and its accessories. The shoulder pad is also the perfect solution for switching rapidly from shoulder to tripod without having to remove the shoulder pad. It can remain on the camera rig permanently and it is designed with a 15 mm sliding rod block camera screw knob (1/4-20) for adjustment.
Back pad (PAD1)
The back pad (PAD1) features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. It is compatible with the SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad (SHPAD3, SHPAD2, SHPAD1) and can be attach or remove easily from your rig via a 1/4-20 camera screw knob. Additionally, the back pad’s position can be adjusted to the user’s preference – up to 2″ vertically and 360° horizontally. The bottom of the back pad is designed with (2) 1/4-20 threaded holes, allowing to attach other accessories or counterweights.
Base counterweight rod bloc (PADCW2)
The SHAPE base counterweight rod bloc is used in combination with the SHAPE adjustable composite shoulder pad (SHPAD1, SHPAD2, SHPAD3) to increase the camera rig stability by balancing or counterweighting the camera at the back. Enhanced comfort is offered via padding and free motion of the handles is also enabled as the camera weight is relieved by the counterweight. You can attach the SHAPEbase counterweight rod bloc to the SHAPE adjustable composite shoulder pad via 15 mm rods. Equipped with a sliding rod bloc, the SHAPE adjustable composite shoulder pad can be attached to the 15 mm rods. Precise balance is achieved by positioning the counterweight closer or further away from you, which is possible by sliding the weight along the rods. Made of CNC machined, high-quality aircraft grade aluminum parts are hard anodized for a resistant finish and assembled with stainless steel screws to prevent rusting.
C300 adapter plate (C300AP)
SHAPE's C300 Plate Adapter fits directly and precisely underneath the Canon C300 camera to add to its bottom more threaded holes for mounting tripods and various rigs. The C300 natively features only two threaded holes on its underside. This Plate Adapter provides a total of eight -- four 1/4" holes and four 3/8" holes. The adapter attaches to the camera by four included M4 screws.
Follow focus friction & gear clic (FFCLIC)
The SHAPE Friction & Gear Follow-Focus Clic with Adjustable Marker is made of lightweight anodized CNC aluminum for strength and durability. It is designed to attach onto standard 15 mm rods of shoulder support rigs and other rigs. It attaches onto them via a clamp system, with simplicity. You would sit the Clic on top of the rods, and then slide and close a SHAPE-patented lever clamp underneath the rods, and the lever locks and holds the Clic securely on the rods. The Clic's focus mechanism also works with a clamp system, which when unlocked loosens the focus mechanism and allows it to be moved horizontally. It moves so to adjust itself closer to the lens. As it moves, its main feature -- the focus disk -- moves with it, and the focus disk is what reaches the lens. The focus disk can either be a friction wheel or a gear wheel. Both are present in this package and replacing one with the other is accomplished with the help of the included Allen wrench. The friction wheel has a rubber outer surface that would press up against the lens, keep firm contact with it, and ensure accurate and slip-free focusing. The friction wheel would serve well for most lenses and is made of high-quality rubber that in cold temperatures won't get too cold to lose its grip. The gear wheel would accommodate those lenses that specifically have teeth on their focusing rings, and it would do so without any ring gears, by pressing its 0.8 pitch gears into the teeth. The focus mechanism can be used on either the left or the right side of the lens, depending on the direction you place the Clic onto the rods in. And the focus disk itself can be used either in front of the focus mechanism or behind it, so to accommodate a wider variety of lens lengths. To move the disk to the rear, you would first just unscrew two screws from the gearbox. Once the screws are off, the focus disk can just be flipped over for use with longer lens constructions. The white mark disk at the right of the red knob is made of highly resistant Delrin thermoplastic. It can be written on with non-permanent markers to mark up focus measurements for various predetermined shots, and it is interchangeable and thereby many predetermined measurements can be kept ready at your side. Additionally, a slide-adjustable marker made of aluminum is included to be attached beside the mark disk and to be moved and tightened into positions along the disk.
0.8 mm pitch aluminum gear for ffclic (G053-0.8)
The SHAPE 0.8 Pitch Aluminum Gear for Follow Focus Friction and Gear Clic can be used with geared, cine lenses and 0.8 lens gears. It is compatible with the SHAPE Lens Gear Kit (0.8 Pitch) and is included with all Follow Focus Friction and Gear Clic (FFCLIC) follow focuses. The gear is constructed from aluminum for strength and durability. Used with cine lenses and lens gears Compatible with Lens Gear Kit (0.8 Pitch) Included with Follow Focus Friction and Gear Clic (FFCLIC) Follow Focus Constructed from aluminum for durability
Lens support (LENSSUP1)
The SHAPE Lens Support provides physical support for any long lens, thus relieving the potentially damaging pressure on the camera's lens mount. The part is compatible with any standard 15 mm rods system, including all of SHAPE's camera supports that are equipped with their 15 mm Rod System or 15 mm Rod Riser System. Composed of lightweight anodized aluminum, the Lens Support has a vertically adjustable bracket so it can accommodate different lens diameters. The Sliding Rod Block portion of the Lens Support has a thumbscrew for tightening to 15 mm rods.
Telescopic support arm 15 mm rod bloc (ARM2)
The Telescopic Support Arm with Rod Bloc from SHAPE is a variable length support arm designed to stabilize a shoulder rig while keeping the user mobile. The unit consists of an aluminum telescopic arm, Rod Bloc, and multi-function shoe which can be independently adjusted to the user's preference. It can be adjusted at two points, from a minimum length of 14" to a maximum of 20". The top end of the rod is capped by an adjustable single-knob joint which supports and positions the CNC machined aluminum Rod Bloc—the attachment points for a shoulder-mounted rig. At the arm's base is an internal spring designed to provide added control when tilting vertically, allowing the user to capture a more stable image while in motion. The bottom end of the telescopic arm is fitted with SHAPE's multi-function shoe—a cup-style base designed to rest against the user's torso or in a support belt for additional stability. If needed, the shoe may be removed so that the arm may be used as a boom, providing a connection point for a monitor, microphone, light, and more. The support cup at the end of the arm rests on the SHAPE Belt rather than directly on the operator.
Multifunction shoe (GIOTTO1)
The Multifunction Shoe from SHAPE is designed to work alongside the Telescopic Support Arm to increase overall rig stability. The shoe's rubber cup rests against nearly any stable surface, including user-worn utility belts, tables, and terrain. The shoe's base utilizes a ball joint which enables flexible positioning of an extension rod for added user comfort.
