SmallHD Indie 7 is a 7-inch 1920 × 1200 IPS touchscreen delivering 1000 nits daylight legibility and full Rec. 709 fidelity. Its 737 g anodised-aluminium body integrates dual 3G-SDI / HDMI I/O, cross-conversion and LUT-capable outputs to keep camera chains clean and latency-free. PageOS 4 places waveform, EL Zone, 10-bit 3D LUTs, anamorphic de-squeeze and optional camera-control licences (RED RCP2, ARRI, Sony Cine) one tap away.

Signal coverage extends to UHD 4K30 on HDMI and 1080p60 via SDI, transported at 10-bit 4:2:2 / 4:4:4. A sub-17.3 W draw powers hours of field work from the supplied dual-slot L-Series plate, while a 10–34 V barrel or V-/Gold-mount adapters integrate with studio rails. Four reinforced ¼-20 threads on left, right, bottom and rear secure cages, articulating arms or director grips.

Precision aids include dual zebras, ARRI-style false colour, luma & RGB waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, 2-8× pixel zoom, coloured focus peaking, live anamorphic preview and EL Zone stop-based exposure—rendered in 10-bit processing for artefact-free evaluation of log or RAW imagery. Embedded eight-channel audio meters accompany video, routed downstream or to the 3.5 mm jack.
