Operating in both 6 GHz (U-NII-5) and legacy 5 GHz spectra, the link stays resilient even in congested RF environments, offering twelve extra interference-free channels. Its 750 ft / 228 m line-of-sight reach paired with < 0.001 s latency preserves critical focus pulling and multicam timing while AES-256/RSA-1024 encryption secures every frame.
The transmitter accepts 3G-SDI or HDMI signals up to UHD 4K30 (HDMI) or 1080p60 (SDI) and distributes visually-lossless 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR across up to six receivers simultaneously. An SDI eye-pattern tool, time-code and start/stop flag passthrough, and Rec. 2020 colour integrity integrate smoothly with cinema cameras and OB vans. Cross-compatibility with all Bolt 4K and Bolt 6 systems on 5 GHz protects existing fleets.
Compact, fan-free aluminium housings feature internal omnidirectional antennas 75 % shorter than earlier models, reducing snag risks on gimbals and Steadicams. Bluetooth pairs each unit to the Bolt Manager app or SmallHD monitors, unlocking spectrum analysis, channel assignment and on-board 17 × 17 × 17 LUT upload for live HDR transformations. A refined Long-Range algorithm further cleans 4K pictures when distance pushes past 200 m.
