Teradek CTRL.5 Wireless Lens Controler

Teradek CTRL.5 is a multi-axis FIZ handset for precise lens control in cinema. Its 5-inch SmallHD ultra-bright touchscreen (2000 cd/m²) runs CTRL.OS with page-based widgets, keeping focus scales, iris values, zoom position and rangefinder readouts on one view. Eleven assignable function buttons, a focus knob, iris slider, force-zoom rocker and A/B wheels provide tactile command of up to four axes while retaining visual feedback from the video feed.

Engineered for demanding sets, CTRL.5 links with Teradek RT receivers and motors to deliver stable, low-latency wireless control with a 5000 ft (1524 m) line-of-sight range. A visual Lens Library and onboard mapping store ring marks and metadata for quick lens swaps. Digital marks, depth-of-field and hyperfocal calculations appear instantly, speeding pulls and repeatable moves. Wi-Fi Camera Control licenses enable in-hand access to key RED and ARRI parameters over IP networks, unifying lens and camera operations from a single interface.

Connectivity includes a 5-pin USB for SmallHD monitor overlays and a 4-pin AUX for run/stop and accessories. Run/stop support covers RED (Epic, Scarlet, Weapon, Raven), ARRI (Alexa, Amira), Phantom, Sony F55, and LANC bodies such as Blackmagic and Canon C-series. Two 2.4 GHz antennas ship in the box for robust links. The unit powers from an NP-F/L-Series battery; typical draw is 4 W with the backlight off and 9 W at full brightness, forming a compact, self-contained controller for handheld, dolly or steadicam work.
