Teradek RT FIZ Kit (CTRL.3, MDR.X, MOTR.S) delivers wireless lens control of focus, iris and zoom over 2.4 GHz FHSS. CTRL.3 links to MDR.X with latency of 2 ms and line-of-sight reach up to 5000 ft (1500 m) in FCC mode (~150 m indoors). The handset stores lens maps, drives six local axes (knob, slider, zoom, X/Y A+B), and powers from an LP-E6 pack (6.2–8.4 V) or USB. Menu/OLED and SmallHD lens data overlays keep marks visible on the monitor. Size: 130×84×157 mm incl. knob/antenna; 754 g; 1/4-20, ARRI rosette for rigs
MDR.X is a 3-axis receiver (58 × 18 × 94 mm; 136 g) with three motor ports plus daisy-chain support, two serial inputs for wired controls or rangefinders, a 6-pin CAM port for run/stop & camera control with ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Blackmagic and Phantom, and Mini-USB for firmware. It runs from 7–17 V over 2-pin LEMO, includes BLE for the Teradek RT iOS app, and accepts an external antenna to optimise placement on gimbals.
MOTR.S is compact and quiet (106 × 56 × 31 mm; 184 g), delivering up to 320 rpm with 0.55 Nm peak torque. Operating from 7–32 V, it ships with a 0.8 MOD gear, clamps to 15/19 mm rods, and uses dual 0B.4 chainable ports for clean, short cable runs. A quick-release gear system speeds lens changes and keeps backlash low for consistent marks.
The kit adds RT motor cables (20/40/60 cm), MDR.X camera leads (ARRI R/S, RED CTRL, Sony Cine R/S), monitor interface cables, a controller bracket and multiple pre-marked focus/iris rings in metric and imperial. With FHSS 2.4 GHz robustness, 2 ms response, 5000 ft (1500 m) reach and SmallHD overlay integration, the Teradek RT FIZ Kit forms a precise, low-maintenance chain for cinema, broadcast and live production where reliable follow focus is mandatory.
