VELVET Mini 3 IP54 is a panoramic bi-color LED soft panel for broadcast studios, interview sets and compact locations where a wide, soft source must sit close to the action. The fixture provides a continuous 2700K–6500K range in 100K steps, with smooth 0–100% intensity control and a one-touch 3200K/5600K shortcut to align quickly with tungsten or daylight pipelines.
Colorimetry targets camera work: TLCI 97 at 3200K and TLCI 98 at 5600K, alongside a high CRI, helping maintain stable skin tones under mixed practicals and LED walls. At daylight the panel reaches up to 3200 lux at 1 m (and 435 lux at 3 m) with a wide 100° beam that spreads evenly across talent, tabletop products and small cycloramas. The driver is specified for flicker-free capture up to 2000 fps, supporting high-speed inserts for commercials, sports content and live production packages.
Integration is straightforward on set: rugged local controls use a digital readout with shock-resistant keys, while wired operation runs via DMX-RDM on XLR-5 for addressing, status readback and multi-fixture workflows (DMX In/Out with splitter). VELVET’s selected-bin LEDs, optic diffuser and CPU control focus on repeatability shot-to-shot, while fanless passive cooling keeps the unit silent for dialogue recording, streaming and newsroom environments. Operation is specified from -20°C to +40°C and LED lifetime is rated to 50,000 h (L70) for long-term rental or in-house studio duty.
The electrical platform matches professional power distribution: 150 W draw, mains operation through a 90–264 VAC smart AC adapter (optional), or DC via Neutrik XLR-3 with an optional quick-link V-Mount/Gold Mount plate. The enclosure carries an IP54 rainproof rating and a shock-resistant aluminium build for exterior interviews, live events under weather cover and mobile TV production. The included yoke supports rapid re-rigging from stand to grid, keeping the VELVET Mini 3 IP54 practical as a key, fill or top light in tight studios and fast turnaround crews.
