VELVET Mini 3 Studio Bi-Color LED Panel (No Yoke)

VELVET Mini 3 Studio is a panoramic bi-color LED soft panel for low-ceiling studios, press rooms and noise-critical broadcast sets. Fan-free passive cooling keeps the fixture acoustically silent for close-mic speech, and the black anodized aluminum housing is rated IP51 for dust protection in busy indoor environments and sheltered exterior placements. The specified operating range is -20°C to +40°C, with Selected BIN LEDs, an optic diffuser and CPU control deliver an even, wraparound source.

CCT adjustment spans 2700K–6500K in 100K increments with continuous dimming from 0–100% that remains flicker-free up to 2000 fps for high-speed capture. Color rendition is specified at TLCI 97 at 3200K and TLCI 98 at 5600K, supporting consistent skin tones and predictable intercutting with tungsten or daylight sources. Photometrics reach 3200 lux at 1 m and 435 lux at 3 m, delivered through a broad 100° beam angle for key, fill or background wash with minimal hotspotting.

Power and control integrate cleanly into studio infrastructure: 150W draw with universal 90–264 VAC input and AC loop-through via PowerCon TRUE1 supports tidy daisy-chain runs on a grid, while a Neutrik XLR-3 DC input accepts external DC when mains access is limited. Local operation uses shock-resistant buttons, a digital display, a dedicated 3200K/5600K recall key, and fast mode switching between dimmer and color temperature for live workflows.

For multi-fixture systems, DMX-RDM over XLR-5 in/out enables addressing, monitoring and console control of intensity and CCT. Side sliding ¼” rigging threads accept clamps or custom brackets; the “no-yoke” configuration keeps installs compact while remaining compatible with Mini-series modifiers such as snapgrids, barn doors or dome diffusion to manage spill on monitors. Typical placements include silent overhead toplight above a presenter, soft key for corporate streaming, or uniform washes across cycloramas and set walls.
