One Gigabit Ethernet cable is enough for the Z-CAM E2N Mark II to feed a production network, draw its power via PoE+ and return tally to the operator. The camera carries NDI|HX3 certification: 4K travels as H.265 at a fraction of the bandwidth Full NDI would need, latency stays low, and picture quality holds up on a vision mixer's multiview. An SSP stream can leave the housing at the same time, so a recording server can run alongside the live switch.
Behind the Micro Four Thirds mount with active lock sits a 4/3" CMOS sensor: 10.71 effective megapixels, dual native ISO at 500 and 2500, and 11.5 stops of dynamic range. Streams and recordings run in 4K at up to 60 fps with 10-bit colour — the first-generation E2N stayed at 8-bit. For replays the camera records 1080p at up to 240 fps and still streams 120; a 3696×2772 mode uses the sensor's full 4:3 height for anamorphic lenses. Twelve-axis colour correction keeps skin tones consistent across a multicamera rig, and image profiles from Rec.709 to Concert absorb saturated stage lighting.
Recording to SDXC cards in MOV or MP4 gives each stream a local safety copy. Timecode accepts manual input, continuous autofocus watches unmanned positions, and the built-in stereo microphone plus 3.5 mm in/out cover ambient and line audio. HDMI 2.0 outputs 4K60 to a monitor or switcher, USB 3.0 Type-C serves configuration, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi on an external antenna reaches positions no cable ever will. White balance runs from 2300 to 7500 K; during moves between sets, LP-E6 series batteries keep the camera alive.
Conference venues, esports stages, corporate studios and OB trucks share the same arithmetic: no capture cards, one cable per camera position, minutes from flightcase to first frame.
