When a multi-camera live production calls for fast, reliable switching without a rack full of gear, the AVMATRIX Shark H4 Plus delivers exactly that. This portable 4-channel HDMI video switcher accepts four HDMI Type-A sources at resolutions up to 1080p60 with auto-detection, feeding them into a built-in 10.1-inch Full HD IPS display (1920 × 1080) that folds flat for transport. The screen shows multiview, preview, program, audio meters, and a time clock simultaneously — so a single operator can monitor every source and adjust levels without an external monitor.

Two HDMI program outputs and one HDMI multiview output serve stage displays, recording decks, or confidence monitors. A USB Type-C port turns the unit into a UVC device, letting OBS, vMix, Zoom, or Teams treat it as a webcam — practical for hybrid conferences or remote guest integration. The RJ45 LAN port handles direct RTMP and SRT streaming to YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch with encoding bitrates from 2 to 32 Mbps in CBR or VBR mode. For local archiving, the USB-A output records to an external SSD or flash drive, and an SD card slot captures MP4 or TS files with segment durations from 1 to 120 minutes.

Creatively, the Shark H4 Plus offers T-bar, auto, and cut transitions with 11 × 3 wipe patterns, plus MIX and DIP effects. An upstream keyer provides luma key, chroma key, and two PIP layers alongside a PoP mode, while the downstream keyer handles DSK and logo overlay — useful for lower thirds during live sports broadcasts or branding in corporate event streams. The internal media library holds 39 default patterns, 16 imported images, 16 captured stills, and two colour generators.

A built-in audio mixer blends four HDMI embedded audio channels with two 3.5 mm MIC/Line inputs, offering per-channel delay and Audio-Follow-Video. GPIO tally output via DB-15 signals on-air status to camera operators, while FTB, MUTE, and STILL give the operator instant programme control. Remote IP configuration rounds out the feature set, placing the AVMATRIX Shark H4 Plus at home during a house-of-worship service, a lecture capture, or a field-based live event production.
