Packing a small control room into a single chassis, the AVMATRIX SHARK S8X Plus folds an 8-channel switcher, live recorder, IP streamer and 17.3-inch FHD IPS monitor into one portable unit. The screen drives a true multiview with PVW, PGM, audio meters and menu overlays, so a solo operator on a corporate stage or touring concert can cut the show without chaining extra rack monitors. Six 3G-SDI inputs plus two HDMI 2.0 ports that accept up to 4K sources cover broadcast cameras, DSLRs, PTZ heads and laptop feeds on the same desk, while a BNC reference input keeps every source genlocked alongside graphics playout or external routers.

Routing stays serious on the output side: two HDMI PGM ports (A/B), four 3G-SDI PGM ports (A/B) and a dedicated HDMI multiview feed push independent signals to FOH screens, IMAG walls and a director's confidence monitor. A USB-C UVC output turns the mixer into a webcam for Zoom, Teams, vMix or OBS at 1080p60 (200 Mbps), and the RJ45 gigabit port carries RTMP, RTMPS and SRT streaming straight to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live or a private CDN without an external encoder. Onboard recording captures 1080p60 at 32 Mbps to SD card, USB drive or SATA SSD, useful for church services that need archive copies the moment the event ends.

Composition tools echo a larger studio desk: three upstream keyers handle PIP, Chroma Key and LUMA Key, up to six overlay layers stack logos and lower-thirds, and 20 macro slots record and replay button sequences for recurring sports or talk-show cues. Audio gets the same treatment — two XLR/TRS combo inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, a 10-channel mixer with SDI/HDMI de-embedding, plus mini-jack and USB audio. Integrated PTZ control over VISCA, VISCA over IP, PELCO-D/P and ONVIF drives pan, tilt, focus, white balance and presets on up to eight cameras.

Built for field and studio duty alike, the SHARK S8X Plus accepts wide-range 9–24 V DC at a 50 W maximum, running from V-mount plates, AC bricks or a mobile rig between −20°C and 50°C. With tally via RJ45 and a responsive hardware panel, it slots into ENG crews, OB trucks, esports vans, streaming studios and houses of worship chasing one case for the whole video chain.
