Set focus once and the DZOFilm Pictor Zoom 14-30mm T2.8 Black PL & EF Mount (S35) keeps it from the 14 mm end to the 30 mm end. That is what a true parfocal cine zoom buys a live crew: at a fashion show, the operator can hold the whole runway at 14 mm, then tighten on a model at the turn without touching focus. A floating focus group keeps breathing negligible, DZOFilm says, so a rack from the driver's hands to the passenger in a car-interior two-shot barely alters image size.

On Super 35, this wide-angle range matches the view of a 20 to 43 mm full-frame lens, about 83° to 45° horizontally, all at T2.8. There is headroom in coverage, too: the 31.5 mm image circle reaches past the corners of a RED Komodo 6K, whose sensor measures 30.6 mm diagonally. Focus travels 270°, zoom 100° and iris 61° from T2.8 to T22, all on 0.8 MOD gears.

Inside are 21 elements in 17 groups. Rendering follows the Pictor house style: gentle rather than clinical sharpness, rich but believable colour, and a 16-blade iris that keeps defocused practicals round. Hands-on reviews report light vignetting at T2.8 that recedes as the iris closes. Minimum focus is 0.6 m from the sensor. At 30 mm that yields 0.073x magnification, a frame about 34 cm across, barely wider than an LP sleeve and tight enough for product inserts.

Since NAB 2022 the lens has completed a three-zoom Pictor set with the 20-55mm and 50-125mm; shared 95 mm fronts and M86 threads let one matte box serve 14 to 125 mm at T2.8. Both PL and EF mounts ship with it, PL fitted and EF boxed alongside caps, shims, hex and Torx keys. In EF form it suits mirrorless EF bodies only, since a DSLR mirror can strike the rear element. DZOFilm's Octopus II adapters, whose enlarged cavity clears Pictor optics, carry it onto E, RF, L-Mount and Z cameras. Its rear mount baffle protrudes too far for most third-party PL extenders, yet the Marlin 1.6x from the same maker is matched to Pictor and turns it into a 22.4–48 mm at about T4.7 on full frame or VistaVision, so the lens keeps earning as the camera fleet grows.
