FieldCast 4Core SM Heavy Duty 100m on Drum Fiber Cable

Heavy Duty describes the jacket. This is the tactical outdoor grade: walked on, driven over at a gate, dragged across gravel, where the thinner Ultra Light version of the same single mode cable stays on studio floors. Both ends carry an identical male FieldCast 4Core SM connector built on Rosenberger OSI hardware, so either end can face the camera and neither has to be identified first at load-in. A screw cap closes over the ferrules; cap, plug and receptacle are sealed to IP67 in line with EN 60529, keeping dust and rain off polished glass between patches.

Four cores of single mode 9/125 glass run inside that jacket: two bidirectional links per drum, or four one-way feeds if the rack wants them. Single mode places the distance limit in the transceivers rather than the cable, so the same hundred metres carries 3G-SDI now and 12G or ST 2110 traffic once the racks change. The four yellow rings read at arm's length in a store mixing multimode and single mode drums. A 4Core SM adapter cable fans the cores out to two LC duplex pairs for converters and switch SFPs, a chassis connector puts that interface on a 19-inch panel, and the Adapter Four bridges into existing Neutrik opticalCON QUAD stock.

Wound on a Schill GT380 drum, this length stays a one-person item: out of the van, along a corridor, paid out and rewound without a trolley.
