Laowa 12 mm T2.9 Lite Zero-D VV Cine PL stretches rectilinear coverage across 46.31 mm for full-frame and Vista Vision cameras while keeping setups feather-light. A 122° diagonal FoV captures cavernous sets, yet straight lines stay straight thanks to Zero-Distortion geometry. The fast T2.9-T22 aperture with a 14-blade iris yields smooth circular bokeh and crisp star-points.

Sixteen elements in nine groups include dual aspherics and low-dispersion glass, limiting lateral colour and sagittal coma. Edge-to-edge MTF holds beyond 60 lp/mm for 8 K acquisition, and breathing is suppressed so horizons stay fixed during racks. Minimum focus is 14 cm / 5.5 in, encouraging dramatic foregrounds without diopters.

The anodised aluminium barrel weighs 458 g, measures Ø80 × 47.5 mm, and balances effortlessly on Ronin 4D, Steadicam, FPV drones or slider carts. 0.8 MOD gears give a 100° focus throw and 67.5° iris travel; dual metric/imperial scales assist pullers. A 77 mm filter thread accepts ND or mist filters when matte boxes are impractical, while the Ø80 mm front seats clamp-on accessories.

Internal focusing keeps balance on gimbals; laser-engraved scales endure solvent wipes. 0.21× macro ratio supports tabletop inserts. Shim kit allows flange tuning. Tested on RED V-RAPTOR, ALEXA LF, VENICE 2 with no vignette. Weather-sealed felt rings and 3-year warranty ensure reliability.
