Libec HS-250MQC is a carbon-pipe video tripod system built around the H25 fluid head for compact cinema rigs and ENG-style camcorders that still need confident, repeatable movement. The head’s Perfect Balance counterbalance runs continuously from 1.7–4.5 kg (C.G. 100 mm) and is read on an illuminated 1–100 meter, so you can note a setting, re-mount a camera, and return to the same feel on the next setup.

For camera moves, the pan/tilt module uses a multilayer metal drag unit with free + 3 drag steps, giving predictable starts, controlled stops, and low backlash for interview reframes, handheld-to-tripod swaps, and slow product shots. The tilt range +90° / −70° supports high and low angles, while operation remains stable in harsh locations thanks to a −40°C to +60°C working range and an LED bubble level that stays visible in dim studios.

The system’s Snap ON/OFF sliding plate accelerates body changes; it is compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler-type plates and offers ±30 mm fore/aft trim for balancing accessories such as matte boxes, wireless video, or a teleprompter. A dual-base architecture lets you run it as a 75 mm bowl or switch to flat base mounting, so the same head can sit on a slider, skater dolly, or pedestal plate when the shot list shifts. The bowl clamp spacer can be removed to extend thread insertion, widening the range of mounting hardware you can use.

On set, QL40C carbon legs with single flip locks per stage deliver fast height changes, the BR-2B mid-level spreader keeps stance consistent on uneven ground, and FP-1B large rubber feet settle quietly on studio floors. Multiple 1/4″ and 3/8″ accessory threads on the head and legs make room for an arm, monitor, receiver, or timecode box without improvising clamps, and spare screws travel with the kit. Pack-down is straightforward with the included RC-30 carrying case, making it a practical choice for live streaming sets, documentary crews, and small broadcast teams running camera packages up to 5 kg.
