Libec HS-450QC Video Tripod

Libec HS-450QC is a floor-spreader tripod system for cinema and broadcast rigs that need repeatable moves at production pace. The kit combines the H45 fluid head, QL40C carbon fiber legs and the SP-1B ground spreader for studio, location and OB crews running large-sensor camcorders or fully rigged mirrorless builds.

At the core, the H45 uses Libec’s continuous perfect counterbalance with an illuminated meter, covering 4.5–10.5 kg and supporting up to a 12 kg payload. The head holds the camera at the chosen tilt without drift during lens swaps or accessory changes. Pan and tilt run on a multilayered metal drag system with Free + 3 steps on both axes, plus a tilt range of +90° to -70° and operation from -40°C to +60°C. An illuminated bubble level supports fast leveling in low light.

For deployment flexibility, the head’s 75 mm ball / flat base dual interface lets the same head migrate between bowl tripods, sliders or skater dollies. The snap-on/off sliding plate speeds camera hand-off, while the plate format stays compatible with widely used Manfrotto and Sachtler plates—useful when matching rental inventory. The supplied Long Plate S increases balancing latitude for front-heavy cages, telephoto zooms and prompter adapters. Camera mounting uses a 1/4″ screw with locating pin, with spare 1/4″ and 3/8″ screws included; accessory threads accept arms, transmitters or a monitor mount. The bowl clamp spacer can be removed to extend the insertion thread when interfacing with specialty mounts.

QL40C legs add carbon stiffness with a quick-lock workflow that keeps height changes at the upper clamps, cutting downtime during interviews, live events, worship production, sports sideline coverage and multicam streaming. The legs include multiple accessory ports with 1/4″ and 3/8″ threads for receivers, small monitors or tally interfaces. The SP-1B spreader locks the footprint on flat surfaces for consistent pans, and the included RC-30 case keeps the system packed for transport.
