The Magewell Pro Capture AIO is a single-channel PCIe capture card that handles virtually every signal type a broadcast or production facility might encounter. Whether the source delivers SDI, HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, composite, or S-Video — this one card accepts them all through a BNC SDI input, a DVI-I connector, and a DB9 port with included breakout cables. That signal coverage suits facilities running a mix of HD cameras alongside legacy VGA-based medical displays or tape playback decks.
The card runs two dedicated video processing pipelines at roughly 180 Mpixels/s each, with full 10-bit processing and 12-bit analog-to-digital conversion for VGA, component, and composite sources. It captures resolutions up to 2048×2048 at frame rates reaching 120 fps. Hardware-based deinterlacing, colour space conversion, and up/down scaling happen on-board, freeing your host CPU entirely. The integrated SDI equalizer stretches cable reach to 330 metres for SD-SDI signals, while the 225 MHz HDMI receiver handles runs up to 30 metres with adaptive equalization.
Audio capture covers embedded audio from HDMI and SDI — up to eight mono channels at 48 kHz — plus analog stereo via the DB9 breakout cable. Latency drops below one millisecond for 1080p60 RGB and YUY2 content, backed by a hardware 100 ns timestamp clock that keeps A/V tightly synchronized during live multicamera broadcasts or recording sessions.
Fitting into a single PCIe Gen2 x1 slot, the Magewell Pro Capture AIO runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS through standard APIs including DirectShow, V4L2, and AVCaptureSession. Software such as OBS, vMix, Wirecast, and XSplit detects it right away. A 16-position rotary switch lets you stack multiple cards in one system, each generating unlimited independent output streams with its own resolution, frame rate, and colour settings. One workstation can therefore feed a live stream, a recording session, and a confidence monitor simultaneously from a single source.
