Bringing both HDMI 1.4 and 6G-SDI onto a single PCIe Gen2 x4 board, the Magewell Pro Capture AIO 4K gives broadcast engineers and live production teams one card that covers two common signal paths in modern 4K facilities. The HDMI input uses a 297 MHz receiver with adaptive equalization, while the BNC connector handles SD, HD, 3G, and 6G SDI — extending cable runs up to 330 metres for SD-SDI and 75 metres for 6G-SDI. Either input delivers uncompressed video at resolutions reaching 4096×2160 at 30 fps, satisfying DCI 4K cinema ingest and UHD studio monitoring alike.

Two on-card processing pipelines operate at roughly 360 Mpixels/s each, executing full 10-bit colour work across RGB, YCbCr 601, YCbCr 709, and YCbCr 2020 spaces. Scaling, cropping, deinterlacing, frame rate conversion, and real-time OSD compositing happen entirely in hardware, keeping host CPU usage low during continuous 24/7 operation. Capture formats span 4:2:0 NV12 through 4:4:4 10-bit V410, giving post-production and streaming operators latitude to match any encoding chain. Audio extraction pulls up to eight mono channels at 48 kHz from SDI, alongside HDMI embedded audio.

The HDMI path reads AVI, SPD, and VS InfoFrames, extracts Sony and Canon DSLR timecode, and supports Side-by-Side Half, Top-and-Bottom, and Frame Packing 3D modes. A programmable EDID lets operators dictate which resolution the source outputs, removing handshake surprises during live multicamera shows. On the SDI side, SMPTE 352 payload identification and Closed Caption data remain accessible through Magewell's SDK.

Running on Windows, Linux, and macOS via DirectShow, V4L2, and AVCaptureSession, the Magewell Pro Capture AIO 4K works immediately with OBS, vMix, Wirecast, and over fifty other applications. A 16-position rotary switch simplifies identification when stacking multiple boards, and each card generates unlimited independent capture streams with separate resolution, frame rate, and colour parameters. Whether the task involves live streaming from an SDI camera, 4K lecture recording over HDMI, or broadcast control room ingest for playout, this single card handles the signal without additional converters.

The Magewell Pro Capture AIO 4K is a High-performance, low-latency PCIe capture card. This One-channel 4K PCI card captures either HDMI or SD/HD/3G/6G SDI signals with embedded audio and supports input resolution up to 4096×2160 pixels.

These models automatically detect the input signal format, delivering reliable, high-quality video and audio capture for video professionals, systems integrators, and OEM developers. Moreover, All Pro Capture models feature Magewell’s FPGA-based, zero-CPU-usage video processing, providing high-quality up/down conversion and image adjustments without consuming valuable host system processing power.

Pro Capture devices support Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems – including x86, x64 & ARM architectures – and offer extensive compatibility with popular streaming, live production, web conferencing, lecture capture, collaboration, and medical imaging software. The Magewell MWCapture SDK provides both generic interfaces and custom APIs across OS platforms, helping developers leverage the full capabilities of Magewell capture hardware and achieve lower-latency, multi-stream capture and AV synchronization across multi-channel or even multiple capture cards.
