Marshall built the CV625-TBN around a question production managers keep asking: why rig two cameras, and staff them, for a stage that one head could cover? Its answer is a pair of optical blocks in a single housing — a motorised telephoto with 25x optical zoom (7.1–171.95 mm) on a 1/1.8" 8-megapixel Sony sensor, plus a fixed panoramic module spanning an 83.1° field of view. Both capture 4K UHD at 60 fps, run at the same time, and can be cut between, streamed apart or layered as picture-in-picture.
The AI auto-tracking works ahead of the subject rather than behind it. Facial recognition paired with learned movement patterns lets the head predict a presenter's next position, so reframes glide instead of jerking; meanwhile the wide sensor counts everyone standing 2 to 18 metres out, which keeps the telephoto locked on its target if a second person steps into view. The same processing steadies autofocus against breathing. Sensitivity of 0.1 lux at f/1.6, WDR and 3D noise reduction hold picture quality in dim lecture halls, courtrooms and conference rooms where relighting is off the table.
On the network side, NDI HX2 and NDI HX3 sit alongside SRT, RTSP, RTMP and RTMPS with H.264 or HEVC encoding, while HDMI carries 2160p60, 3G-SDI feeds 1080p60 to broadcast switchers, and USB 3.0 registers as a UVC source in OBS, vMix or a conferencing codec — every output active simultaneously, each with audio embedded from the 3.5 mm line input. HDMI and SDI latency stays at or under 67 ms. VISCA over serial and IP, ONVIF, an HTTP API, 256 presets and a tally light round out multi-camera control.
Powered over PoE+ (802.3at, 24.5 W maximum), the Marshall CV625-TBN needs exactly one network cable for video, control, audio and power — the arithmetic that makes a 340° pan, 120° tilt remote head cheaper to install than to wire conventionally, and the reason integrators specify it for venues that must operate for years with nobody behind the lens.
