Marshall VS-PTC-300 is a professional PTZ control panel for multi-camera productions that combine legacy serial PTZ units and modern IP/NDI systems. It supports VISCA, VISCA over IP, ONVIF and NDI, with cross-protocol control over RS-232, RS-422/485 and IP. In practical studio use, this means one operator can switch between different camera families from a single controller without changing operating habits. Marshall specifies control of up to 7 cameras via RS-232, 14 via RS-422, and up to 255 via IP/NDI, which fits installations ranging from compact streaming rooms to larger education, worship and broadcast environments.
The hardware layout is built for fast manual camera operation during live production. A 4-axis joystick handles pan/tilt/zoom movement, while the separate zoom rocker helps with smoother framing during interviews, stage coverage or live music. Dedicated knobs and buttons provide direct access to focus, iris, shutter/gain, white balance, exposure modes, and pan/tilt or zoom speed settings, so operators can react quickly when lighting or subject movement changes. The backlit keypad supports quick camera calling and preset recall, and the built-in 3-inch LCD is used for menu navigation and local monitoring functions.
Marshall VS-PTC-300 PTZ camera controller also includes features that matter in day-to-day production setups: automatic IP/NDI camera discovery, manual device entry for fixed-address networks, tally modes (including on-air/contact options), assignable function keys, and preset memory for repeatable shots. Marshall lists support for up to 256 camera presets, which is especially useful for lecture capture, houses of worship, sports venues, podcast studios and corporate event stages where shot positions must be recalled instantly. The LCD preview path supports RTSP and NDI-compatible streams, helping operators verify framing directly from the controller.
Power can be supplied either from the included 12 V adapter or via PoE on the Ethernet port, which simplifies rack and desk integration in permanent installs. Used for live event production and content creation, the VS-PTC-300 offers detailed operation through a high-quality PTZ joystick, professional zoom rocker, and individual fine-tune adjustment knobs for iris, white balance, exposure, red/blue, shutter speed, focus, pan/tilt speed, and zoom speed. The VS-PTC-300 offers cross protocol mix-control on one controller operating RS232/RS422/RS485 and IP, as well as ONVIF, and VISCA over IP. The VS-PTC-300 can setup 7 cameras via RS232, 14 cameras via RS422, and 255 cameras via NDI/IP; all selectable through a single controller. Easy NDI®/IP camera discovery function automatically searches for all available NDI®/IP cameras on a network.
