PTZOptics Studio SE 12x Zoom Box Camera White

The PTZOptics Studio SE 12x White is a stationary box camera built around a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor with 8.4 million effective pixels. Its native 12x optical zoom (f = 4.1 – 49.2 mm, F1.8 – F2.68) paired with 16x digital magnification captures Full HD 1080p at 60 fps across a diagonal field of view of 80.2°. The horizontal angle shifts from 72.5° down to 6.9°, framing anything from a wide panel discussion to a tight headshot without moving the unit. At 0.5 lux minimum illumination and a shutter range of 1/30 s to 1/10 000 s, this camera performs equally well on dimly lit stages and under bright studio lighting.

All outputs run simultaneously: HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 Type-C, and Gigabit Ethernet with native NDI HX3 — no licence fee attached. IP streaming covers RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, ONVIF, and multicast. H.265 HEVC encoding over RTSP and NDI HX3 cuts bandwidth roughly in half versus H.264 at comparable quality. The built-in microphone and 3.5 mm line-level audio input/output handle on-camera sound for interviews, panel recordings, or quick monitoring without external adapters.

Up to 255 presets with 0.1° recall accuracy let directors lock in their shots and return to them instantly. Image flip, mirror, and freeze come standard — especially handy when the camera hangs inverted from a ceiling bracket. A front-facing tally light cues talent on air status. Control runs through the included IR remote (9 m range, four addresses), a web interface, third-party joysticks, or PTZOptics Hive for centralized multi-camera management. Power arrives via 12 V DC or PoE 802.3at, drawing no more than 18 W — one Ethernet cable carries video, data, and power together.
