SmallHD Camera Control Kit for ARRI transforms the Cine 5 monitor into a full-service remote panel for ARRI ALEXA / ALEXA 35. After activating the one-time licence, a dedicated PageOS screen mirrors the camera menu so assistants can adjust settings from the 5-inch touchscreen without approaching the body. A shielded RJ45 Gigabit-Ethernet link provides latency-free commands and avoids RF congestion on multi-camera stages.
The software grants fingertip access to every vital attribute: Record start/stop, playback, timecode set/read, project rate, sensor FPS 1–120 fps, shutter angle or exposure time, exposure index, ND value, white balance 2 000–11 000 K with tint, look-file selection, clip metadata, medium status, system date/time, and more. Values update in real time, and PageOS’ colour-coded feedback eliminates mismatches before the first take.
Hardware is engineered for set life. The slim Cat 6 patch (91 cm) keeps gimbals nimble; the right-angle 10-pin LEMO-to-RJ45 lead (99 cm) hugs lens rods; the locking 10-pin ARRI-to-RJ45 cable (91 cm) resists tugs during handheld work; plus a 5-pin-to-RJ45 adapter supports older breakout boxes. Gold-plated contacts and Kevlar-reinforced jackets survive studio heat and rain towers. Total kit mass: 175 g. Box size: 14.2 × 10.9 × 7.9 cm for easy case allocation.
Single-monitor, non-transferable activation protects the licence—choose your host display carefully. Requirements: PageOS 5.2 +, Cine 5 firmware 1.4 +, and SUP 7.1 or later on ALEXA 35, ALEXA Mini or ALEXA Mini LF. Once paired, reconnection is automatic at power-up—no IP typing. By consolidating camera control on the viewing screen this kit shortens menu dives, preserves delicate EVFs and maintains an uncluttered camera front, delivering reliable, cable-secure operation shot after shot.
