The SmallHD Indie 5 is a 5-inch touchscreen monitor engineered for crews who demand uncompromised image fidelity in a body that fits anywhere. Its 1920 × 1080 IPS panel delivers 1000 nits daylight-viewable brightness, 10-bit Rec.709 colour, 1000:1 contrast and 440 ppi, so focus and exposure stay trustworthy on gimbals, drones or shoulder rigs.

Professional connectivity starts with HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI I/O carrying UHD 4K30 and 1080p60, plus loop-through for video-village feeds. Cross-conversion streamlines post. Load 33-point LUTs or firmware via the SD slot, while micro-USB and locking 5-pin ports unlock optional RED, ARRI or Sony camera control. Six ¼-20 mounts, 10-34 V DC input and L-Series plates guarantee rig-friendly power and flexible mounting.

PageOS 5 packs indispensable tools—EL Zone stop-based exposure, waveform, HDR false-colour, focus peaking, pixel-zoom, Teradek RT lens-data overlays and a digital horizon indicator. Customisable touch buttons recall presets, de-squeeze anamorphic or switch inputs with one tap, accelerating on-set workflow.

A CNC-milled aluminium shell weighs 408 g yet survives –20 °C to 50 °C. Integrated speakers and a 3.5 mm jack provide eight-channel audio monitoring, while the edge-lit design draws just 12 W.
