The SmallHD Ultra 5 is a professional-grade 5-inch monitor designed for cinematographers, DITs, and camera operators who demand accurate monitoring in challenging environments. With a 3000-nit brightness, the Ultra 5 ensures clear visibility even under direct sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor shoots. Its 1920x1080 resolution and 10-bit color depthprovide precise color representation, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, essential for critical color grading and exposure assessment.

Equipped with both 3G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs, the Ultra 5 offers versatile connectivity options. The monitor supports a wide range of video formats, including UHD 4K at 30p via HDMI, ensuring compatibility with various camera systems. Its PageOS 5 operating system provides advanced tools such as waveform, vectorscope, false color, and focus peaking, facilitating accurate exposure and focus adjustments on set.

The Ultra 5’s robust design includes a milled aluminum chassis, ensuring durability in demanding production environments. Its touchscreen interface, combined with physical buttons, allows for intuitive operation, even when wearing gloves. The monitor also features an Ethernet port and USB control port, enabling camera control for ARRI, RED, and Sony VENICE cameras (camera control licenses and cables sold separately).

Power options are flexible, with support for 2-pin LEMO input and compatibility with Gold Mount, V-Mount, or B-Mount micro battery plates (sold separately). The Ultra 5’s compact form factor and lightweight design make it a practical choice for handheld rigs, gimbals, and remote setups, providing reliable monitoring without adding significant weight.
