SmallHD Vision 24 is a 61 cm (24.1 in) DCI 4K HDR reference monitor that shows HDR exactly as your camera captures it. This dedicated studio display uses a 2176-zone Full-Array Local Dimming system to push 1 000 cd/m² peak luminance while delivering a dramatic 1 000 000:1 contrast ratio. The true 10-bit IPS panel resolves subtle highlight roll-off and deep shadow detail without banding, giving DITs and colourists absolute confidence on set.
Covering 115 % DCI-P3, Vision 24 runs on PageOS 4.1 with Color Pipe to map camera-specific colour spaces perfectly. Native 4K waveforms, vectorscopes, false-colour with region-of-interest, pixel-perfect zoom and a guided calibration wizard are processed at full resolution, eliminating the need for external test gear and ensuring repeatable accuracy across multi-monitor setups.
For complex pipelines, four 12G-SDI inputs with four mirrored outputs carry DCI 4K 60 p, while dual HDMI 2.0 ports integrate graphics or consumer sources. An SD slot loads custom 3D LUTs, RJ-45 LAN/GPI enables remote control, and accessory power is provided via twin 12 V/2 A 2-pin LEMO, USB-A and USB-C. A 3.5 mm jack monitors embedded audio.
Machined from aluminium, the monitor weighs just 8.94 kg and measures 59.4 × 40.1 × 7.1 cm (without feet). A 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern and thirty-six ¼-20 threads simplify rigging, while a 26–34 V XLR input or hot-swappable dual 14/26 V Gold/V-mount plates keep power continuous at a modest 225 W typical draw. EL Zone
The stop-based exposure map tool—developed in collaboration with legendary cinematographer, Ed Lachman, ASC—that works like a virtual spot meter, replacing IRE exposure values with stops. Sensor data from the camera provides a reference point, and a false color represents each stop above and below 18% gray, allowing for easier, more intuitive on-set communication.

Mini-LED Local Dimming (FALD) Panel Technology
The Vision Series Monitors feature a mini-LED local dimming array, with over 2000 individual zones behind the panel. This high-density of zones allows for excellent handling of high-contrast areas across the screen. SmallHD’s FALD controls the light behind the LCD array by modulating each individual LED dynamically. This rapid-fire on/off is controlled by a proprietary algorithm designed by SmallHD, with the goal of achieving HDR contrast ratios.
