Teradek Serv 4K v2 is a production-grade encoder for 4K HDR monitoring and camera-to-cloud work. It processes DCI 4K60 10-bit 4:2:2 with HEVC/H.265 or AVC/H.264 at bitrates from 250 Kb/s to 85 Mb/s, preserves color with DCI-P3 and PQ-2084 pipelines, and applies on-device CDL, 1024-point 1D and 33×33×33 3D LUTs. Interfaces include 12G-SDI with loop and HDMI 2.0. Built-in scaler and de-interlacer cover sources from 480i to DCI 4K60, while 256-bit encryption protects contribution links.
Local viewing distributes up to four live feeds to on-set devices at once, and up to 20 devices per set can monitor via the Teradek TV app without internet. Remote stakeholders join through Teradek Core or integrations with Frame.io, Sony Ci and PIX, with transport over SRT. v2 hardware includes an updated OLED status display, quieter cooling and revised mounting points. Configuration is available via web UI and iOS/Android apps.
For field reliability the unit bonds up to seven links simultaneously: Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), USB 3G/4G modems and as many as four tethered phones. Full-size SD/SDXC (exFAT), USB (FAT32) and NFS storage enable on-encoder recording and instant review, even if the uplink drops. Audio I/O includes 3.5 mm mic/line in with gain and a 3.5 mm headphone monitor, plus embedded SDI/HDMI. Power input is 6–28 VDC with typical draw of 18 W.
Compact milled-aluminum housing measures 150 × 107 × 36 mm and weighs 476 g.
