Teradek Serv Micro is a compact HDMI transmitter/encoder built for on-set monitoring and camera-to-cloud. It handles 1080p60 H.264/AVC, provides HDMI 2.0 input with loop-through, and records proxies to SD/SDXC. Local crews monitor on up to 10 devices via the free VUER app without internet; remote stakeholders can join through Teradek Core/Teradek TV, Frame.io or Sony Ci with secured distribution and instant playback.

Connectivity is production-grade: Wi-Fi 6 dual-band MIMO (2.4/5 GHz) with selectable RF channels, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, and a USB host for 3G/4G modems. For link resiliency it supports network bonding across up to seven paths (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB plus up to four smartphones). Video bit-rates span 0.3–15 Mb/s; a built-in scaler and de-interlacer manage 1080p 23.98–60, 1080i 50/59.94/60 and 720p 50/59.94/60. Streams are protected with AES-256 encryption end-to-end.

Audio is embedded over HDMI (2-ch) or fed via a 3.5 mm mic/line input, encoded as AAC-LC at 48–512 kb/s. Setup is fast through a feature-rich web UI and an OLED with 5-way joystick. The housing combines machined aluminum and ABS; dimensions are 105 × 75 × 28 mm, mass 190 g. Mount horizontally or vertically using ¼-20 (≈6.35 mm) or M3 points, route power from 6–28 VDC barrel or a Sony L-Series battery.

VUER supports a four-up mosaic with focus and false-color tools. Recording uses exFAT on full-size SD/SDXC or FAT32 via USB for fast handoff. Core routes streams to browsers, Teradek TV and third-party platforms with role-based access. Network stack: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, NTP, SSL, IGMP. Typical draw is 4.5 W on Ethernet or 6 W on Wi-Fi, leaving headroom for compact rigs. Use Serv Micro to deliver low-latency, color-faithful monitoring on set, while camera feeds and proxy files reach editorial and clients worldwide through Teradek Core—a practical bridge between set video village and cloud review.
