VELVET CYC 3 Color Studio RGBW LED Beam (No Yoke)

VELVET CYC 3 is a compact RGBW cyclorama light that replaces multi-row background rigs with a single asymmetrical beam. Three articulated battens form a continuous line source that bends to steer the vertical spread, washing cyc walls, backdrops and greenscreens with consistent exposure. A horizontal 45° beam with vertically adjustable 45–80° field allows precise placement on grids, walkways or floor stands while limiting spill on presenters and audience areas in broadcast and theatre environments.

The RGBW engine of VELVET CYC 3 spans 2500–10000 K with continuous green–magenta correction from full Plusgreen to full Minusgreen. A typical CRI 95 and TLCI 94 / 93 at 3200 K and 5600 K maintain accurate skin tones on multi-camera productions. CCT, HSI, RGB, gel and effects modes provide access to calibrated whites, saturated colours and pastels, while a 16 kHz output frequency keeps the fixture flicker free up to 2000 fps for high-speed and slow-motion work.

On the control side, VELVET CYC 3 offers on-board operation with shock-resistant buttons, colour display, a 3200/5600 K shortcut and 0–100% dimming with smooth response at the bottom end. For system integration the unit supports DMX-RDM via 5-pin XLR in and out, Wi-Fi ArtNet and a USB port. Each of the three light engines can be addressed individually, enabling horizontal colour gradients, segment chases and zone control for extended back walls when several fixtures are rigged in a row.

Drawing 76 W, this RGBW beam delivers around 1000 lux on backgrounds up to 3 m away while remaining passively cooled and completely silent. An IP21 rating and black anodized aluminium housing support daily use in TV studios, corporate webcast spaces and theatre venues. With optional yokes, ball heads, pole-operated mounts and barndoors, VELVET CYC 3 serves as a flexible tool for cyclorama washes, colour layers behind LED volumes and immersive broadcast sets where homogeneous background light is critical.
