The VELVET CYC 6 Color Studio is a high-output RGBW cyclorama light built around six articulated batten engines, forming a continuous asymmetrical beam for background and set wash. Each batten can be addressed individually, so colour gradients, horizon effects and split looks across a studio wall or cyclorama can be programmed directly from a lighting console without additional fixtures.
With a continuously variable 2500K–10000K CCT range, precise ±green/magenta correction and full HSI, RGB, gel and effects modes, the fixture covers broadcast white light, saturated colour and subtle tints in a single unit. Studio-grade colour quality (high CRI/TLCI) and a 16 kHz driving frequency keep imaging artefacts under control, delivering flicker-free output for cameras shooting up to 2000 fps on multi-camera shows, live streaming stages or virtual production volumes. Built-in dynamic presets simplify programming of chases, pulses and atmospheric backgrounds for concerts, e-sports stages and corporate studios.
The asymmetrical optical system offers a 45° horizontal spread with a mechanically tunable 45°–125° vertical beam, enabling even coverage on backdrops up to 6 m high while keeping spill off the studio floor and grid. At 5600 K the fixture reaches approximately 38,880 lux at 1 m, providing substantial headroom for keying, coloured background light or cyc fills in television studios, news sets, talk shows and music programmes.
For integration, the VELVET CYC 6 includes on-board AC PSU (90–264 V), true pass-through power via PowerCon TRUE1, and both DMX-RDM and Wi-Fi ArtNet control alongside robust local operation from shock-resistant keys and a colour display. Passive, fan-free cooling keeps operation completely silent, while long-life RGBW LED engines, extended operating range from −20 °C to +40 °C and a sealed IP21 aluminium housing suit permanent studio grids, theatre cycloramas, event venues and touring broadcast kits.
