VELVET Mini 1 Studio (MPN VM1ST) is a half-1×1 bi-color LED soft panel with an IP51 dustproof enclosure for broadcast sets, small studios and controlled-location work. The wide 100° beam and panoramic diffuser generate low-contrast shadows for talent, tabletop, and background washes where hard sources become problematic in low-ceiling grids. Output reaches 1200 lux at 1 m and around 150 lux at 3 m, while power draw stays at 50 W, simplifying multi-fixture rigs on shared circuits.
Colorimetry is calibrated for camera work: 2700–6500 K CCT adjustment in 100 K steps, plus dedicated 3200 K / 5600 K recall for rapid matching to practicals or daylight keys. At typical broadcast whites the panel delivers TLCI 98 at 5600 K and TLCI 95 at 3200 K, supporting consistent skin reproduction across mixed lighting and multi-camera shading. Dimming runs 0–100% with smooth tracking and no visible stepping.
Control is production-friendly. The onboard display and shock-resistant buttons allow fast local tuning, while DMX-RDM via 5-pin XLR in/out integrates into lighting consoles and studio automation. Mains input supports 90–264 VAC, 50/60 Hz and the fixture offers powerCON TRUE1 in/out pass-through for clean daisy-chaining. Passive thermal management keeps operation silent and the driver architecture supports flicker-controlled high-speed capture up to 20,000 fps.
VM1ST excels as a key or fill for interviews, an eyelight near prompters, or a compact top-light over product tables, with rated LED life up to 50,000 hours (L70) for permanent studio installs. The yoke mounting with baby/junior interface and multiple rigging points supports grid clamps, wall arms or boom positions, while optional snapgrids and barn doors help keep spill off cyc walls, newsroom backdrops and pop-up green screens without changing the soft source character.
