Colour temperature ranges from 2700K to 6500K in accurate 100K steps, with CRI and TLCI values up to 98 for faithful skin tones and neutral whites. Light intensity is adjustable from 0 to 100% with a flicker-free driver rated for high-speed capture up to 2000 fps. At 5600K the panel outputs about 2400 lux at 1 metre and 330 lux at 3 metres, supplying clean soft punch for interviews, table shows and virtual events without extra diffusion or bulky modifiers.
Control is available on board and via DMX/RDM. Shock-resistant buttons and a clear display give fast access to output, CCT and DMX address on set, while the 5-pin XLR interface integrates the VELVET Mini 2 IP54 directly into studio lighting networks and remote consoles. VELVET’s LED engine combines carefully binned emitters, an optical diffuser and firmware management to maintain uniform colour across fixtures and over time, with rated LED lifetime exceeding 50,000 hours.
The robust fanless aluminium housing keeps operation completely silent and supports a working range from −20°C to +40°C for indoor or outdoor use. Power draw is just 100W, with 12–35 V DC input on a locking XLR-3 connector and compatibility with 90–264 V AC via an optional smart power supply, plus quick-link V-mount or Gold mount battery plates for mobile setups.
