    A Super 35 CMOS sensor with 26.11 effective megapixels and 14 stops of dynamic range, housed in a fanless body the size of a stills camera — the Z-CAM E2-S6 Mark II NDI treats cinema image quality and broadcast integration as one job rather than two. Dual native ISO at 400 and 1250 holds noise down from lit studio floors to dim concert stages, and the manual range stretches to 128,000 for documentary work after sunset. Open-gate 6K recording at 6244×4168 uses the entire sensor surface, welcome news for anamorphic projects and vertical deliverables, while 6K 2.4:1 runs at 60 fps, C4K at up to 75 fps and 2.8K at 120 fps for slow motion.

    Internal recording goes to a CFexpress Type B card as ProRes 422 HQ, 10-bit H.265 or ZRAW, so edit-ready masters and grading headroom come from the same slot. Over HDMI 2.0, Atomos recorders capture ProRes RAW and a Blackmagic Video Assist takes BRAW. Z-Log2 preserves the full dynamic range for the colourist, HLG goes straight to air, and 12-axis colour correction matches an entire camera chain to one reference, while the built-in gyroscope logs motion data for stabilisation in post.

    The live toolset is where this model earns its NDI suffix. 10-bit NDI|HX 3 streams from the Gigabit port with minimal delay, alongside SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP and UVC. A single PoE+ connection powers the camera, carries remote control through the web interface and delivers the programme feed — a four-camera panel show cables up in an afternoon. Genlock and LTC timecode enter on BNC, video exits over 3G-SDI or DCI 4K 60p HDMI in 10-bit 4:2:2, and EzLink holds networked bodies within 0.5 ms of each other.

    An active-locking EF mount swaps to PL, LPL or M when the glass changes, the mini V-Lock plate covers long event days, and a 12 V output runs a monitor or focus motor.
