How many cameras slot into a genlocked studio grid, a gimbal rig and a documentary backpack without changing systems? The Z-CAM E2-F6 Mark II makes that question easy to answer. Its full-frame CMOS sensor (35.9 × 24.0 mm, 24.63 megapixels) records Open Gate 6064 × 4040 at 30 fps for reframing and anamorphic glass, holds 6K 2.4:1 at 60 fps, and pushes C4K 2.4:1 to 120 fps for dense slow motion. Fifteen stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO 400/2500 keep texture in stage blacks and daylight highlights alike — a real asset when a concert cut jumps from follow-spot to LED wall.

Footage lands on CFexpress Type B cards in the ProRes 422 family up to HQ, as 10-bit H.265, or as ZRAW; over HDMI the camera feeds ProRes RAW to an Atomos Ninja V or Blackmagic RAW to a Video Assist. Z-Log2 preserves grading latitude for HDR deliverables, and the built-in gyroscope writes motion metadata that steadies handheld or vehicle shots in post.

Broadcast fittings come as standard: 3G-SDI plus HDMI 2.0, LTC timecode on BNC, genlock input, and EzLink sync that aligns a networked multicam fleet within 0.5 ms. One Cat 6 line under PoE+ both powers and controls remote rail, crane or goal positions, while the Gigabit port streams SRT, RTMPS and RTSP straight from the camera's web interface — no external encoder on the OB truck's invoice.

The EF mount locks actively and swaps to PL, LPL or M, so a rental fleet can match its existing glass inventory. A mini V-Lock plate, 12 V accessory output and fanless aluminium body keep multi-hour takes silent and dependable. Remote operation runs over 5 GHz Wi-Fi, USB-C or the LANC-compatible jack, and an open API with SDK writes the camera into robotic heads and studio automation; a built-in stereo microphone plus a 5-pin LEMO input for two XLR channels round out the audio chain.

    Multiple Camera Synchronization
Z CAM has been widely adopted in many multiple camera applications worldwide due to its high sync precision, open API and reliability.

    Z CAM EzLink Sync
All cameras are connected to a network switch for Z CAM EzLink Sync.
Once connected, one camera must be designated as the master, with the others set as slaves.
Z CAM EzLink ensures precise synchronization, maintaining a tolerance of no more than 0.5ms.

    Z CAM PixelLink*
Z CAM PixelLink Sync (Master/Slave) requires all cameras to be connected in a daisy chain using Z CAM sync cables.
Cameras are interconnected using Cat 6 Ethernet cables.
    Ensuring perfect line sync precision.
    * Only available on Z CAM E2 model
