Z-CAM P2-R1N 24x Zoom is a network-native PTZ camera for studios that need real optical reach without giving up a large sensor look. The 24x lens covers a 35 mm-equivalent 32–768 mm range and pairs with a 1/1.5" CMOS imager, letting you hold a wide master and then pull a tight close-up from the back of an auditorium. Exposure control is broadcast-friendly—shutter from 1/10000 to 1 s and gain up to 36 dB (ISO 200–12800)—so the camera can ride between spotlights, LED walls and dim audience areas. At the wide end you get a 60° horizontal view, tightening down to 3.2° for long-throw close-ups.

Focus stays usable on moving presenters thanks to PDAF plus manual override, while E.I.S. reduces micro-vibration from truss mounts and balcony rails. When you need “operatorless” coverage, AI auto framing keeps the subject centered for panels, training rooms and classrooms, so you can cut between multiple PTZs without chasing framing.

For live switching and remote production, the “N” version adds native NDI_HX3 alongside IP streaming such as SRT, RTMP/RTMPS and RTSP. Outputs cover baseband and USB workflows: 3G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet and USB-C 3.0. Video reaches UHD 4K 59.94p, with looks including Rec.709 and HLG; the built-in multiple color matrix helps matching cameras in a multi-cam room. Audio embeds on SDI/HDMI and can be fed via the 3.5 mm mic/line input.

PTZ motion is tuned for repeatability: up to 180°/s with 0.01° positioning, plus 256 presets via CGI (100 via VISCA) for instant shot recall in vMix/Tricaster/ATEM control rooms. Control includes VISCA over IP, VISCA RS-422 and a web client; Genlock supports multi-camera timing, and FreeD data can drive AR graphics. On-board SD recording creates a safety master in H.265 (up to 4K60, 8-bit) and offers 1080p120 for fast-action analysis. Power stays clean with single-cable PoE+ (802.3at), and tally support keeps talent and operators aligned during talk shows, worship services and corporate events.
