The ARRI SkyPanel X21 Black with X21 Dome is a high-output 2x1 RGBACL LED panel for film, television, live streaming and virtual production stages. An 800 W, six-primary color engine combines native soft, native hard and open-face operation in one fixture, so the same unit can act as a punchy long-throw source, a large studio softlight or a powerful bounce light on narrative sets, broadcast stages and event rigs exposed to the elements.

With up to 4,800 lux at 10 m in native hard mode and a maximum of 51,809 lumens open-face, the SkyPanel X21 delivers HMI-class intensity with LED efficiency for medium and long throws. A dynamic 1,500–20,000 K CCT range plus full-spectrum RGBACL mixing supports precise spectral shaping, while high-quality rendering (up to CRI 99, TLCI 93) keeps skin tones and product colors stable across cameras. Multiple color modes – CCT, HSI, RGBACL, XY, gel and source matching – cover broadcast key light, drama work, greenscreen, corporate studios and LED volume environments where tight color control is mandatory.

The X21 runs ARRI LiOS3 firmware with dedicated ARRI ALEXA modes for matching ALEV sensor responses, and offers eight addressable pixel zones for mapped effects and subtle gradients across the panel. Integrated wired and wireless control includes DMX-512A/RDM, Art-Net 4, sACN, dual Ethernet ports, USB-C, plus on-board CRMX / W-DMX, Bluetooth 5.0 and BLE for app control via ARRI LiCo. Preconfigured pixel macros and effects simplify lightning, fire, TV, police and concert looks for live shows and fast-turnaround studio workflows, while the integrated PSU supports AC daisy-chaining of multi-fixture grids.

A robust IP66 housing enables operation in heavy rain, dust, high humidity and high-pressure jet cleaning, which makes the SkyPanel X21 Black suitable for outdoor OB vans, sports coverage, concert touring and permanent installations. The fixture accepts ARRI manual or pole-operated yokes and twin quick-lock brackets for building X22 and X23 arrays, and it remains compatible with many SkyPanel S60 front accessories via adapter, so existing softboxes and grids can stay in service. The included X21 Dome transforms the unit into a large, even soft source for key, fill or overhead studio lighting, backed by a 3-year ARRI warranty for continuous professional use.
