ARRI SkyPanel X21 Soft & Hard Light Package (Schuko) is a single-lamphead set that moves between native soft light with the Dome, native hard light with HyPer Optics, and lumen-optimized open-face bounce without changing fixtures. The full-spectrum RGBACL engine spans 1,500–20,000 K, supports ARRI ALEXA Mode sensor matching, and can reach up to CRI 99 with typical TLCI 93 in High CRI VariFan mode. With IP66 sealing across the fixture and control interface, it remains viable for exterior rigs, rain cover work and high-humidity stages.

Electrical and optical performance targets medium-to-long throws: maximum draw is 800 W with 4 light engines and up to 8 sealed pixel zones for zoned cues and mapped patterns. In native hard configuration the output reaches 4,800 lx at 10 m (5,600 K); in native open-face mode it delivers up to 51,809 lm for bounce into ultrabounce, muslin or ceilings. Beam geometry stays consistent across the three native states: approx. 11° (hard), 107° (soft) and 121° (open-face).

For control and networking, the X21 supports DMX-512A with RDM, plus Ethernet Art-Net 4 and sACN, including web control, ALSM and discovery via mDNS/Bonjour, with timing via PTP/NTP. Wireless options include CRMX (Classic/CRMX2), W-DMX, BLE and Bluetooth 5.0. Dimming is flicker-free with high-resolution low-end control, and the pixel toolset provides 15 Pixel Macros plus 15 effects for repeatable broadcast cues.

The package ships as a ready-to-rig kit: SkyPanel X with X21 Dome, HyPer Optic, the removable ALL-WEATHER Control Panel (LiOS3), an X21 Manual Yoke with 28 mm spigot, and a 3 m Schuko mains lead using powerCON TRUE1 TOP. TRUE1 TOP in/through and EtherCON-compatible RJ45 simplify daisy-chaining, while a 48 V DC input supports battery workflows. An optional S60 adapter also enables SkyPanel S60-C front accessories for tighter shaping, grids and diffusion, making the X21 a practical key, window-throw backlight or fast bounce source on TV and film sets.
