In multi-camera live productions, knowing which camera is on-air at any given moment is critical. The AVMATRIX TS3019-6 is a wireless tally system that ships as a complete kit with one tally box and six tally lamps, giving camera operators clear, real-time on-air and preview status indications. Operating on the 433 MHz frequency band, the system reaches up to 200 metres line-of-sight — enough to cover large stages, outdoor broadcast venues, and spacious television studios without running dedicated cabling between the switcher position and each camera.
The tally box connects to your video switcher through GPIO, USB Type-C, RS-232, and RS-485 interfaces. GPIO works natively with switchers from AVMATRIX, Roland, Sony, NewTek, Panasonic, and Datavideo. The USB Type-C port provides direct integration with vMix software — a significant advantage for PC-based live streaming setups. Beyond tally signalling, the TS3019-6 supports wireless PTZ camera control via RS-232/RS-485 pass-through, letting a joystick controller or vMix remotely operate pan-tilt-zoom cameras without additional cable runs.
Each tally lamp carries both front and rear LED indicators, so the operator and the talent or floor director can see the on-air status simultaneously. Brightness adjusts across four levels to match ambient lighting — from a dimly lit interview set to a sun-drenched outdoor event. Signal strength and battery level are visible directly on the lamp. Power comes from either USB Type-C or a standard 18650 lithium-ion battery, with runtime reaching up to nine hours depending on brightness settings. A 1/4"-20 thread on the base fits directly onto camera hot shoes for quick mounting.
While this kit ships with six lamps, the system accommodates up to 16 tally lamps — add individual units as your camera count grows. The package includes USB Type-C cables, a GPIO connector, a power adapter, an antenna, and a carrying case.
