Multi-camera live productions depend on clear, instant communication between the director and camera operators — and the AVMATRIX TS3019-8 delivers exactly that. This wireless tally system ships as a complete 8-lamp kit with one transmitter box and eight individual tally lamps, all organized in a rugged carrying case. Operating on the 433 MHz frequency band, the system reaches up to 200 metres in line-of-sight conditions, making it suitable for large studio floors, outdoor sports broadcasts, and concert stages.
Each tally lamp carries both front and rear LED indicators: the front-facing light tells presenters and guests which camera is live, while the rear indicator keeps the operator aware of program (red) and preview (green) status. Brightness is adjustable across four levels — up to 2000 cd/m² — so the signal stays visible even under strong stage lighting or direct sunlight. A standard 1/4-inch hotshoe thread on the bottom of every lamp lets operators mount it directly onto the camera shoe without extra brackets.
The tally box provides GPIO, RS-232, RS-485, and USB Type-C ports. GPIO tally input works natively with switchers from AVMATRIX, Roland, Sony, NewTek, Panasonic, and DataVideo, as well as with Blackmagic Design units through a GPI and tally interface. VMix connects directly over USB Type-C. Beyond tally signaling, the RS-485/232 pass-through enables PTZ camera control from the same box, reducing cable clutter in remote-head setups. If wireless conditions become unreliable, the system falls back to a wired RS-485 serial link for uninterrupted operation.
Power options include USB Type-C or a removable 18650 li-ion battery delivering up to nine hours of runtime depending on brightness and conditions. The tally box draws just 0.2 W from a 5 V supply, so a compact USB power bank keeps it running throughout an entire production day. With a working range of −20 °C to +60 °C, the AVMATRIX TS3019-8 handles sub-zero outdoor remotes and summer festival coverage equally well. A single box addresses up to 16 lamps — extra units are available separately as your camera count grows.
