Bolin EG40N is a professional NDI and IP video decoder that converts high bandwidth network streams into baseband outputs up to 4K60. It receives a single NDI High Bandwidth or NDI HX3 flow over standard 1 GbE and delivers simultaneous HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI outputs with embedded audio for direct integration with production switchers, monitoring chains or recorders in broadcast, live event and ProAV systems. NDI certification and support for the NDI 6 ecosystem ensure interoperability with NDI cameras, software vision mixers and hardware encoders.
EG40N processes UHD and Full HD formats including 3840×2160p from 23.98 to 60 Hz and 1920×1080p up to 120 Hz. The integrated scaler offers real-time upscaling from 720p to 4K60 and downscaling when downstream devices operate at lower resolution, keeping a consistent raster across multiviewers and projectors. HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI are active in parallel with support for RGB and YUV 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 up to 10/12-bit, covering monitoring, routing and ingest.
As an IP endpoint, Bolin EG40N accepts NDI High Bandwidth and NDI HX3 streams plus AVC/H.264 and HEVC/H.265 over RTP, RTSP, MPEG-2 TS over UDP or RTP and SRT. A Gigabit RJ45 interface with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ powers the unit from a compatible switch, reducing local PSU requirements in racks, behind displays or in flypacks. Stereo embedded audio is carried over HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI, supplemented by a 3.5 mm analog line-out for de-embedding to audio consoles, intercom or powered speakers.
Control and monitoring run via an HTML WebUI and Bolin API, with firmware update and system reset over IP for remote maintenance. EG40N decodes a single stream with latency below 100 ms and stores multiple source presets for rapid switching between NDI cameras, IP encoders and SRT contributions. These capabilities make Bolin EG40N a compact endpoint for NDI-centric studios, remote production over NDI Embedded Bridge, corporate auditoriums, e-sports arenas and other 4K60 NDI to HDMI 2.0/12G-SDI workflows.
