DZOFilm Arles 180mm T2.4 FF/VV Prime Cine Lens PL mount (metric) is a long telephoto prime built for precision on full-frame and VV cameras. T2.4 transmission enables selective focus and stable exposure for close-ups, interviews and dramatic inserts where compression and isolation matter. A 46.5 mm image circle covers large sensors with headroom for open-gate and VFX, supporting modern workflows for narrative, broadcast and streaming.

Optics: 12 elements in 9 groups with floating correction to restrain aberrations across the focus range. A 16-blade iris shapes smooth bokeh with stable highlights and skin-tone friendly roll-off. Multi-layer nano coatings and low-reflectance internals suppress flare and ghosting, controlling contrast in backlight and practicals. focus breathing is minimal to ease rack pulls on heads, dollies and cranes. Series color is consistent for seamless intercuts in HDR/SDR.

Mechanically, 270° focus rotation with metric markings enables repeatable pulls, plus a de-clicked aperture with ~88° throw for fine trims. Standard 0.8 MOD gears fit follow-focus, wireless FIZ and cine motors. The PL mount aligns robustly on cinema bodies and can be swapped to EF with the maker’s kit for mixed fleets. Close focus is 1.07 m (3 ft 6 in) for tight faces, product details and table-top shots without extension tubes.
