The result is clean, edge-to-edge resolution ready for 12K cinematography while retaining a softer, more emotive contrast profile — what DZOFILM calls the distinctive "Lustre Look."

A proprietary amber halation coating introduces warm golden flares and a gentle bloom around highlights, giving the Arles Lustre its signature atmosphere. The 16-blade iris produces extraordinarily round, creamy bokeh, and the amber flaring blends with cooler bluish-purple tones in the shadows to smooth skin textures naturally. These qualities make the lens a strong choice for period dramas, fashion campaigns, music videos, and narrative projects where mood matters as much as sharpness. A 77° iris rotation offers fine-grained exposure control, while the 270° focus throw gives focus pullers ample room for precise marks during steadicam or single-take work.
